The date I have stated is approximaye. We call at the Drewe Arms on route to Appledore for a weeks holiday. We have done this for around 6 years, except 2007 because of ill health, but hope to continue our routine next year.
We are predictable in as
much as we always have, nay look forward to a sumptious lunch of "John Dory" fish with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables,(THIS DISH IS SUPERB AND HAS TO BE TRIED TO UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN) accompanied a crisp glass of white wine. The Atmosphere of this wonderful Pub begins our holiday. The people who run it and the Staff alike are so nice & friendly and the whole experience sets the scene for the upcoming week.
I only recommend it to special people, as I feel it needs appreciating for its history and wonderful food.......(such an understatement)
just cannot think of an adjective that perfectly describes my feelings. Let your mind run riot... and give your taste buds a real treat - assuming they can appreciate the wonderful dishes on offer.
